The addiction trap, I know exactly what will happen when I allow myself to start contemplating about that ‘one drink or one hit.’ It may happen right there or it may not, it may decide to let me walk away with the guilt/shame to eat away at me for another day because the trap has been laid, the seed has been planted. When we allow these thoughts to build, we struggle. Our demons know our past, our demons know our story, our weaknesses, it’ll always always be out there waiting patiently because they also know that all it takes is just that one drink or hit for the wheels to fall off.
